Reverse osmosis water treatment
Reverse osmosis water treatment
One of the modern methods in water treatment industry is reverse osmosis method. Reverse osmosis is a physical process that can be prepared from a solution (solvent + impure) with the help of a semi-permeable membrane, almost pure solvent. Reverse osmosis can remove 99% of dissolved minerals and 97% of colloidal organic matter in water. Reverse osmosis can reduce the TDS of raw water by up to 99%. In practice, reducing the TDS to 95% is normal, the elimination of bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms with the reverse osmosis method is 100% possible.
Advantages of reverse osmosis system:
- The system is more cost-effective than other methods
- Low energy consumption compared to other methods of water treatment
- Possibility of continuous use without the need for rest or special maintenance
- Ease of working with the device and reducing maintenance costs
- Microorganisms in water do not pass through semi-permeable membranes (bacteria, viruses, amoebae, etc.)
- Possibility of returning concentrated water to the environment or reusing water in the device
